Travel Log

Excitement, anticipation and exhaustion were the feelings shared amongst the group when we arrived at Kathmandu airport on day 1 of our international placement. After escaping the chaos of the airport we jumped on to the bus and headed off to our hotel. The hotel staff welcomed us with tea and coffee before we settled into our rooms.

Our afternoon consisted of walking around the busy streets of Thamel whilst taking in all the loud noises and beautiful colours of the city. The night ended with a delicious traditional Nepalese/Tibetan welcome dinner organised by our Nepalese host, Tilly. By 8:00pm we were all in bed with satisfied tummies and sleepy eyes, ready to replenish ourselves with a much needed good nights sleep!
